No one in the World Cup of Hockey, knows that better than the US team, who need a victory Tuesday night against the host Canadians, if they have any hope of advancing to the semifinals.

Here is the complete implications of the action Tuesday in Toronto:

Team Canada clinch a place in the semi-finals when defeating Team USA in any form.
The US team will be eliminated from semifinal contention if they lose to Team Canada in any form.
Team Europe will clinch a place in the semi-finals if the team fails to beat the US team in Canada to regulate.
Team Czech Republic will be eliminated from semifinal contention when Team USA beat Team Canada fails to regulate.
Group B

No team from this group can clinch a place in the semi-finals regardless of the result of the match between Team Finland and Sweden Team.
